Design Process

I get to meet you and discuss your ideal home, how you live and what your needs and wants are and answer any questions you may have.

Once the feasibility study on your property is complete, I start designing your preliminary floor plans based on your checklist and inspiration. After I present the design to you it’s your turn to review it and make any revisions you would like. When we’re pretty close on having the floor plans how you want them, we add the preliminary elevations. I work closely with you until you are happy with the plans.

Complimentary Initial Consultation

Project Start

After you sign on as a client, I will send you a design checklist that guides you through your future home and what you may need in it. At this meeting we will go further in depth with the design of your new home. Come with your design checklist, and any inspiration you have found from Pinterest, Houzz, magazines etc. We will go over everything together and start shaping your vision.

Your plans are now ready to submit for permit, which can be done by you or your builder.

Construction Drawings

After you have given the approval on your design, I proceed with the construction/permit drawings. Your drawing package will include all the drawings and information required for obtaining a permit and building your house, such as floor plans, elevations, sections, site plan etc. During this step I work with the structural engineer you have selected and ensure they will approve the proposed structure of the home.
